Start The Holidays The Right Way

Hmm, this might take more than one fitness class...[/caption] Of all the techniques and concepts we teach at Krav Maga Raleigh, the most important one is not giving up. Usually that means not giving up when defending yourself, but there are plenty of other times when you need that determination, and one occasion is just a few days away. Everyone overeats on Thanksgiving, which isn't great, but one day of indulging on it's own isn't the end of the world. The bigger problem is when we let Thanksgiving start and entire season of over-eating that lasts through Christmas until January 1st when we say, "Ok this year is going to be different." Well after seeing how hard all of our members have been working this year, it would be a real shame for anyone to throw away all their progress in the last six weeks. If you behave yourself on Thanksgiving Day, that will set a great precedent for the rest of the holiday season. And to that end we are having a special fitness class on Thanksgiving Day, at 9am. All Krav Maga Raleigh members are welcome, and since many gyms are closed on Thanksgiving, anyone with a current gym membership can also attend. So if you have a close friend or family member bring them along as well. Working out on Thanksgiving Day - at 9am no less - might sound like heresy, but it will set a great precedent for the holiday season. There are about six weeks left until the new year, and on January 1st you can either be resolving to lose all the weight you gained during the holidays, or congratulating yourself for all the weight you lost. Which one sounds better to you?
