Labor Day, and new Family Security Training Workshop!

Happy Labor Day everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying a nice, relaxing day off, except for Josh and Renee who are at the studio today so that I don't have to go in. I'd like to take this opportunity to first thank all of the staff at Krav Maga Raleigh for their hard work and dedication to the students and the program. I can't think of many other companies where the employees primary goal of working there is to improve the lives of other people, and I'm very lucky to be the owner of one.

I am very much looking forwards to getting back in there on Tuesday when we resume our regular schedule. Traveling to Kurdistan and teaching self-defense to some of the most vulnerable people in the world has reinforced even more how important Krav Maga is, for health, safety, confidence, and all-around well-being. While we do take our training seriously in the US, there's just nothing that can compare to the experience these refugees are having over there.

We have a very cool workshop coming up in two weeks, on Sunday the 16th. The Family Security Training workshop - for Krav Maga Raleigh members and their families - will teach you what to do when you're together as a group and need to deal with a bad situation. Punching and kicking are a good start, but how are you going to work together? Does everybody run, stay and fight, or a combination of both? This workshop will give you the tactics and strategies to make sure everyone knows what to do to stay safe. $19 registers one group, whether that's one person or that family from Cheaper By The Dozen (great book, look it up!). You can register online here. Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend, and we do have classes today at 5:30 and 6:30pm, so we'll see you on the mats!
