20110713091619-jeff-1 We have a very special KravCast! this week, recorded at Fit to Fight in Charlotte. Fit to Fight in Charlotte, run by Ryan Hoover and Jeff Jimmo, two phenomenally talented and insightful leaders in Krav Maga. After taking some workshops, we managed to get some time with Jeff Jimmo to talk about his training, philosophy, lifestyle, and love of the Simpsons. Jeff's full bio is below, enjoy the podcast! ------------ Having trained a literal lifetime in the Combat Arts, worked as both a social worker and nightclub bouncer for almost 20 years, Jeff has amassed a unique resume as a Student, Instructor and Motivator. Through the years as a perpetual student, Jeff has competed at the NCAA level in Wrestling, is both a BJJ and Sambo Black Belt, a qualified Muay Thai and Boxing Coach; a full Combat Submission Wrestling Instructor under Erik Paulson and is a qualified Krav Maga Instructor. Most recently, Jeff, along with his partner Ryan Hoover, have created the Fit to Fight program, a novel training paradigm that has been taught in more than 30 of the United States and 7 different countries. The program itself focuses on the fundamental similarities of each of the respective combat oriented disciplines at a basic level and assists with programmatic integration, specifically sparring. Jeff continues to train daily and has trained athletes who have competed in both amateur and professional MMA (including the UFC) as well as NAGA Champions and athletes who have competed successfully in Golden Gloves boxing as well as in Thailand in Muay Thai Kickboxing. Jeff travels to train in Thailand as often as his schedule permits.
