[caption id="attachment_3313" align="aligncenter" width="960"]These are all chokes of love These are all chokes of love[/caption] We had an incredible testing extravaganza this weekend. All of the hard work from the students and instructors paid off, and the performances surpassed my high expectations. I'm elated at everyone's success, and also so, so glad it's over. I imagine the people who actually tested have to feel twice as relieved! I'm sure everyone still feels the physical and mental strain of the test and all the work leading up to it. And you certainly deserve a couple days off after going through that ordeal, but note the use of the phase, "A couple." It's very easy to let a couple days turn into a couple weeks, and then a couple months. It's not surprising for us to see people pass a test and never come back to class. Theories as to why abound, but ultimately it's because they lose momentum. It's very important to get back into class as soon as possible after a test, and get into the level of class that you just achieved. It can be intimidating and frustrating to go from excelling at one level to being a baby at a new one, but it's just part of the process. After all, you didn't do all that work to pass a test, you did it to train in the next level, so get in there and take your reward.
