The big test day is almost here! There is an updated testing schedule below and some final preparation advice for the testers. We have had all of the workshops and reviews now, and all test participants must register for their tests online. As always we would love to see everyone from Krav Maga Raleigh here on Saturday, cheering for your training partners and seeing what's next for you. We are treating this event as an open house, so it's the perfect time to bring friends and family over so they can see where all your bruises come from! We will have food and drinks for everyone, so if you'll be coming by please let us know by RSVPing on our Facebook event.
TEST SCHEDULE
We have some slight modifications to the testing schedule, please note them below.

PREPARING FOR THE TESTS
In this last week before the tests you'll want to taper down. You still want to get some light workouts in, but if you have been taking fitness classes this is a good week to give yourself a vacation. Still come to Krav classes so that you maintain the material and the mindset, but training twice this week instead of four times is probably enough.
For the tests, you'll want to bring all your gear of course, as well as a couple changes of shirts. Putting on a clean shirt every hour or two is not just refreshing for you, it's very considerate of your partners! In the past some people have come to the test on an empty stomach: That didn't work out very well for them. Eat a light breakfast, and try to do that three hours before the test. For those of you testing early I know that's going to be tough, and if you have a strong stomach you could get away with two hours. Bring some sort of nutrition to the test. You'll be burning a lot of calories and you'll need to replace them. Fruit, trail mix, power bars, sports drinks, various goos...they are all fine as long as it's something you have used before. The test is NOT a good time to see how you body reacts to something new under high stress.
Well, that should do it for now! Train smart this week - and if you're not testing, train hard as always! - and we will see you on the mats!
